ZVTK - Oh Boy Was I Ever Right

Late last year I called ZVTK's top, stating "Don't be the one holding the bag when the lights go out"

http://pennystockgurus.blogspot.com/2009/12/zvtk-dont-be-one-holding-bag-when.html

Since that point ZVTK has dropped like a stone. Anyone that held onto their shares from my call is down 90%. Don't say you weren't warned. While I try to bring my readers big potential gains, I also try to steer them away from those -90% money pits. Capital preservation in this market is a vital strategy.

Thursday's Stocks To Watch - DTSL, SDIR, AWYI, UWRL

DTSL shares look to have a lot more room to rise over the coming days.  This stock is getting more attention and should see increased money flow.  I would not be surprised to see this stock at $.002 - $.0025 by weeks end.

SDIR rallied late in the session and I expect this momentum to carry through to Thursday's session.  SDIR continues to work its way off recent lows and attempt to rally further.  The company has some positive events this month, which should help draw more awareness to this stock.

SSWC this stock should get going again at some point.  In anticipation of a run, these prices offer a great opportunity to capitalize on a rally to $.001 - $.002 in the short term.  While there is a chance those prices won't come in the short term, we all know how quickly SSWC can run when it has the wind at its back.

UWRL I received a few emails recently about this stock.  I know I don't write about it every day like I used to for over two months.  The company is working on removing the skull and cross bones from Pink Sheets.  Until that is done this stock is great to trade from $.0008-$.0012 range to $.0016 - $.002 area.  I see this stock trading to $.006 and beyond when the company gets its act together.

LOCN - The Reason People Buy Penny Stocks

A 15,000% Move In 5 Trading Days

LOCN's chart is the perfect explanation as to why people buy penny stocks. If you had purchased just $120 worth of LOCN at its low you could have sold just 5 days later for $18,000.

$100 into $18,000 in 5 days.

The History Of The Pink Sheets

The History Of The Pink Sheets

Many people's knowledge of stocks and investing is limited to what they see on the major stock exchanges boards through financial news reporting on television and the daily listings of stock value fluctuations in the newspapers. There are investors, however, who prefer to put their money on smaller companies.

These stocks are called microcap stocks, and can be found in OTCBBs and the Pink Sheets. Knowing a little bit of the history of the Pink Sheets is useful when a potential investor is looking for a micro capitalization company to invest in.

Early in the 20th century (1913), a U.S.-based company called the National Quotation Bureau began reporting stock quotations and bond quotations from the different markets, publishing stock quotations on pink sheets of paper, and publishing bond quotations on yellow sheets of paper.

The reports have been very useful to stock traders, especially for over the counter (OTC) dealers and investors, and over time, the term pink sheets became synonymous with over the counter stock trading.

Towards the end of the 20th century (1997), the National Quotation Bureau came under a new management team that was dedicated to using technology to improve services offered to customers. Soon after the new management team took over, in 1999, the NQB introduced an internet-based real-time quotation of over the counter stocks and bonds called the Electronic Quotation Service.

In 2000, the National Quotation Bureau soon changed its name to Pink Sheets LLC and operated www.pinksheets.com, a web portal for information on over the counter securities and issuers.

Recently, Pink Sheets LLC has changed its name to Pink OTC Markets, Inc. The company's press release said that the change from a limited liability company to a corporation more accurately reflects and communicates the company's position as a technology and financial provider for OTC securities.

The Pink Sheets is not a stock exchange it is a private company that used to publish quotes on pink sheets, but now does it via its electronic quotation system. Market makers and brokers use the pink sheets to publish the stocks they are selling and ask for buy bids.

Companies whose stocks are listed and traded in stock exchanges need to fulfill certain requirements, such as filing financial statements with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Each stock exchange has its own minimum listing requirements such as the number of publicly traded shares, total market value, stock price, and number of shareholders. Companies quoted in the Pink Sheets do not need to fulfill any of these.

While companies on the Pink Sheets are not required to fulfill any requirements, there are those listed in the pink sheets that have stocks traded over the counter, have operating businesses, and provide substantial disclosure to the marketplace, as well as audited financials and certain disclosures to Pink OTC Markets Inc. These companies are listed with the Pink Sheets OTCQX, under two tiers: the higher-tiered PremierQX; and PrimeQX for companies that are too small for PremierQX but still meet the reporting requirements.

Since 2007, all the companies quoted in the Pink Sheets that are unable or unwilling to meet the OTCQX requirements are categorized as Current Information, Limited Information, No Information, or Caveat Emptor. According to Pink Markets OTC Inc., these categories are meant to provide more information on the companies listed on the pink sheets, and are not an indication of the quality of the companies stocks.

Investors considering these companies for investment should still exercise caution as the listings may include speculative, questionable, or distressed companies.

VIPR - Raises Authorized Shares by 3 BILLION

VIPR on Novemember 1st, according to their secratary of state, has raised their authorized shares from 5 billion to 8 billion.  Considering this stock now rests at $.0001/$.0002, I don't think there is much upside to this stock, absent some logical explanation from the company, aside from debt conversions and additional dilution.

VIPR had raised its authorized in April from 2 billion to 3 billion.  Then in August from 3 billion to 5 billion.  Now they have raised it to 8 billion.  The stock price has done nothing but fall and I want my readers to be wary of this trend.  While VIPR may bounce, get a little run, the odds of anything sustainable happening are slim.

If you had your eyes on this stock, just be cognizant of the big run-up in the share count.  This is a stock that will likely need a million dollars in volume in order for it to post any gains.

Tuesday Stocks To Watch - STAU, SDIR, HTLJ, BFHJ

STAU news out today drew little investor interest.  I think people have caught on to market maker PENA and his diluting ways.  Until PENA leaves the offer, this stock will not move.  But when PENA finally runs out of shares this stock will post a sizable run.  At $.0002/$.0003 I think this stock is worth accumulating in anticipation of a big move at some point.

SDIR this stock dropped from over $.20 a share to $.000's in a few weeks time.  This stock fits the "dump and run" profile that I coined a few months ago.  The company dumps stock then lets it run.  Similar stocks have run over 1,000% after the dump is over.  SDIR looks to be embarking on a sizable run and should be fun to watch the next few weeks.

HTLJ with over $4 a share in revenue, it continues to trade, in my opinion, 75% below its true value.  Understandably investors have lost patience in this stock.  Insiders have bought up close to $1 million in stock, buying pressure has done little to move the price.  With other penny stocks moving 100's of percent, investors are selling out and moving their money.  I think this offers a great opportunity to those of you looking for a penny stock you don't have to baby sit every second of the day.   HTLJ's price may fluctuate, but the over all value is there and that is not going to change over night.  When you buy 1 share at $.18 that share is giving you over $4 in revenue and $1 in assets.

BFHJ fell almost 30% today and should post a nice rebound tomorrow.  This stock is oversold and we've all seen how quickly it can head higher when the buyers come.  I think we could be looking at a multi-day recovery in share price.

Chart of the Day - LOCN... again

LOCN was the chart of the day last week when it ran late in the day to close at $.0085.  Today that run continued and the stock soared another 1,000%+ before closing at $.055
